Competition system

The U19 European Championship is a junior national-team competition played over the 2026-27 cycle. The opening phase has three groups: Group A and Group B have three teams each, while Group C has four teams. Teams play group fixtures first, then move into 2027 placement and medal-path games based on group position.

For Group C, the September window is listed as winner-vs-winner and loser-vs-loser after the April opening games, so early point differential matters for seeding and matchup context.
