Vienna Knights keep rising after 48-34 Raiders shootout

Vienna Knights stayed unbeaten with a 48-34 road win over Raiders Tirol, led by a seven-touchdown performance from quarterback Chad Jeffries.

Vienna Knights are no longer just an interesting AFL newcomer story. After going to Innsbruck and beating Raiders Tirol 48-34, they are part of the title conversation on performance, not novelty.

The headline number belongs to quarterback Chad Jeffries, whose seven-touchdown day gave the Knights enough firepower to survive a Raiders response and keep control of a high-scoring game. For Raiders, putting up 34 points still was not enough; for Vienna, the win strengthens the feeling that their offense can travel and win uncomfortable games.

Austria's table now has another serious pressure point. With the established names still carrying reputation, the Knights are forcing the league to treat them as a current problem rather than a future project.
