Aalborg and Copenhagen both start 2-0, but Denmark’s margins tell different stories
Aalborg 89ers and Copenhagen Towers are both unbeaten in Denmark, with Aalborg holding a 102-8 scoring line through two games.
Denmark’s Nationalligaen has two perfect teams after the first imported rounds, but the shape of those perfect starts is not identical. Aalborg 89ers are 2-0 with 102 points scored and only 8 allowed. Copenhagen Towers are also 2-0, also with 102 points scored, but they have allowed 43. Both records are clean; Aalborg’s defensive profile is the sharper early signal.
Aalborg’s results are direct: 52-0 over Aarhus Tigers and 50-8 over Søllerød Gold Diggers. That is the kind of opening pair that builds table control immediately because it creates points differential insurance as well as wins. Copenhagen’s 40-19 win over Triangle Razorbacks and 62-24 win over Aarhus show a more explosive, more open profile. The Towers can score quickly, but the defensive number leaves more room for opponents to imagine a path.
Triangle Razorbacks sit third at 1-1, and their 65-14 win over Frederikssund Oaks on 26 April shows why they cannot be dismissed just because they lost to Copenhagen. The Razorbacks have 84 points through two games, which is enough to keep them in any matchup if the defense holds. Frederikssund are also 1-1, while Søllerød and Aarhus are still searching for a first win.
The possible scenario is a top-three race unless someone from the lower half finds immediate form. Aalborg look like the most balanced team by early numbers, Copenhagen look like the highest-volume offense, and Triangle are the obvious disruptor. If the season stays on that track, head-to-head games among those three will decide more than standings order; they will define which style travels into the postseason.
