Thonon makes the loudest French D1 statement of Week 9

France's D1 Elite Week 9 had one result that jumps off the page: Black Panthers Thonon 41, Flash La Courneuve 7. In a league where Flash usually defines the measuring stick, that margin is a direct statement from Thonon.

The rest of the confirmed slate added useful texture. Argonautes Aix-en-Provence held off Centaures Grenoble 21-18, Molosses Asnières beat Météores Fontenay 27-7, and Diables Rouges Villepinte drew 38-38 with Léopards Rouen. A couple of southern-conference results were still not confirmed in the official table at the time of update.

For the European view, the Thonon result is the one to remember. It does not just affect a domestic table; it changes how the French contender tier looks from the outside.
