Guelfi pull away while Frogs and Marines tighten Italy’s playoff race

Italy's Week 9 clarified the top and compressed the chase behind it. Guelfi Firenze handled Dolphins Ancona 51-17 in the Italian Bowl rematch, a result that keeps Florence perfect and reinforces the gap between the defending standard and the rest of the field.

Behind them, the playoff race got sharper. Frogs Legnano recovered from an early hole to beat Giaguari Torino 28-21, a result that matters as much for confidence as for the standings. Marines Lazio also stayed alive in the race by beating Rhinos Milano 20-14, turning another close game into a meaningful table swing.

The picture now is simple: Guelfi are setting the pace, but every mistake below them is expensive. The Frogs, Giaguari, Dolphins, Marines and Rhinos are all playing games that feel like tiebreakers before the bracket even arrives.
