Romania’s 2025 table says the Rebels were dominant, not just champions
Bucharest Rebels went 6-0 in the regular season and beat Mures Monsters 38-16 in RoBowl XV, completing the clearest title run in Pigskin’s Romanian data.
Romania’s 2025 CNFA/LEFA season is now structured enough in Pigskin Europe to tell a proper story, and the story starts with Bucharest Rebels. The Rebels finished the regular season 6-0 with 272 points scored and only 44 allowed. That +228 point differential is not just a champion’s number; it is a dominance marker across a compact four-team league where every opponent saw them twice.
Mures Monsters were the clear second side. They finished 4-2, scored 212 points, allowed 104, and separated themselves from Timisoara 89ers and Cluj Crusaders before the postseason. Their semifinal win, 26-6 over Timisoara on 8 June 2025, confirmed that the regular-season table had identified the correct finalist. It also gave Romania the cleanest possible title game: undefeated number one against the best challenger.
RoBowl XV then underlined the gap. Bucharest beat Mures 38-16 on 22 June, turning the final into confirmation rather than correction. Mures had already shown they could score in the regular season, including a 28-point game against the Rebels in May, but the final margin suggests Bucharest still controlled the matchup when the trophy was on the line.
The possible scenario for the next Romanian season depends on whether the format and active team list remain stable. If the same four-team core returns, the first question is whether Mures can close the gap at the top or whether Timisoara and Cluj can add enough depth to turn the league from a two-tier table into a real four-team race. Pigskin will keep older seasons and 2026 data separated until reliable structured results appear, but the 2025 baseline is now clear: Rebels were the standard, Monsters were the challenger, and everyone else has ground to make up.
