Wild Boars and Zemun made Serbia a two-team race before the final settled it
Kragujevac Wild Boars and Zemun Blue Dragons both went 5-1 in the 2025 Serbian Prva Liga regular season before Kragujevac won the title game 41-6.
Serbia’s 2025 Prva Liga table looks close at the top until the final score changes the interpretation. Kragujevac Wild Boars and Zemun Blue Dragons both finished 5-1, both clearly separated from Beograd SBB Vukovi and Kikinda Mammoths, and both had the profile of a championship-level team. The regular season said Serbia had a two-team race. The final said Kragujevac still owned the ceiling.
The Wild Boars finished with 241 points for, 88 against and a +153 differential. Zemun were also excellent at 210 scored, 123 allowed and +87. The difference was not whether Zemun belonged in the title conversation; they did. The difference was that Kragujevac combined scoring power with the strongest defensive profile in the league, then translated that into the Serbian Bowl.
The 13 July final finished Kragujevac 41, Zemun 6. That is a decisive result between teams with matching regular-season records, and it changes the way the 5-1 table should be read. Zemun’s season was strong, but Kragujevac had the better championship gear. Behind them, Vukovi went 2-4 with 160 points scored and a -14 differential, suggesting they were competitive enough to disturb games but not stable enough to reach the top pair. Kikinda’s 0-6 season and -226 differential show a much steeper rebuild.
The forward-looking scenario is simple and factual: if Serbia returns to a similar structure, Zemun do not need to prove they are a contender; they need to prove they can narrow the Kragujevac matchup. Vukovi’s path is different — they need to turn competitive scoring into wins. Kikinda need defensive improvement first. Until 2026 structured results are available, 2025 remains the strongest imported baseline, and that baseline puts the Wild Boars clearly first.
